The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been engaged by a leading accountancy firm to recruit an Assistant Manager to join their growing public sector internal audit team. This role will see you reporting to the respective Director and Senior Manager.
As the successful candidate you will be operating across the public sector, and will see you working on interesting projects. The role itself will also see you leading and partaking in multiple internal audits and assignments of varying complexity. This firm operates an ‘open door’ policy, deviating away from a highly heirarchical approach that can be the norm in other practices. They openly encourage dialogue between partner and seniors, and put heavy focus on personal and professional development.
This team has undergone a large element of growth over the last 18 months and the fact that they are continuing to hire reflects their recent success in bringing bring new clients into the business. The business development aspect of the role, whilst not critical, is actively encouraged throughout the team. Because of this growth there is realistic opportunities for career progression, with recent examples of new hires being promoted within the first six months of joining.
You are likely to be an ambitious individual, where you are keen to take on responsibility and thrive in a busy but cohesive environment.You must have prior internal audit experience in the public sector and any in local councils/central government or the NHS will be highly prized. Ideally you willl also be a chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) or certified internal auditor (CIA). To be considered you must be a British Citizen or eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
