This FTSE listed organisation is seeking a Business Controls Manager on a 6 months fixed-term contract basis with the likely possibility of extending to 12 months. Reporting to a very friendly Senior Manager, you will be a part of a large, high-performing 2nd line of defence team proving assurance for the shared service and finance functions.
Responsibilities will include ensuring processes are operating within a control and compliance framework including, internal policies, external compliance standards and the requirements of SOX; supporting in the design and completion of the annual testing plan of controls; providing assurance to control owners; coaching and guiding more junior member of the team; and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Required is an accounting qualification, financial process experience, and strong stakeholder management skills. SOX experience would naturally be beneficial too. Those from an audit background as well as 2nd line of defence are also encouraged to apply.
*the organisation can support remote working, but you will need to be UK based as there may be the occasional site visit (when possible) to their West Midlands HQ.
