Role Summary:
This role is arguably best suited to an external auditor from a recognised Practice firm who is targeting a first role in industry. You will be joining a firmly established team of impressive internal audit practitioners who will support you with the transition to Internal Audit.
Despite my client being US-listed, I would like to point out that this is not a SOX heavy role, far from it. They have a separate SOX team. This is very much risk-based ‘value-add’ internal audit. You will be part of a team that delivers a broad range of internal audits, often highly operational without a finance aspect and very much aimed at improving processes, controls and ultimately company performance
The role is predominantly based in London but with a great deal of flexibility a typical working week would be 2 days in the office, 3 from home. The team covers the EMEA region and as such there is a travel element, this will be no more than 40% and in reality, much less. Locations are major EU cities in the main, field work is 2 weeks, and you have the option to come home in the middle weekend or stay and be a tourist! You travel as team, never alone.
The role has become available due to the incumbent moving internally to a Commercial Finance role. So those planning this career path should not be put off as this can be supported and facilitated.
The team is very strong indeed and has a great reputation within the business. The business lean on internal audit for valuable insights and guidance.

Experience/Profile:
Essential:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- 3+ years Big 4/Top 10 audit experience
- Willingness to travel (up to 40% max)
- Ambitious, driven and high performer; wants to progress in a global business
- First class communication skills – impactful, assertive, likeable
- Excellent report writing
Desirable:
- Exposure to Oracle, AX, or comparable systems
- Data Analytics knowledge (ACL, Visual Basic, Cognos)
Package:
Base salary to £57k, private health, 25 days AL, matched pension
