The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been engaged to help recruit a Director to join one of the fastest growing risk and assurance teams in practice, to support the growth of its services to the Financial Services sector.

This role will sit within their risk advisory offering but will see you working closely with their Regulatory Consulting and External Audit teams to ensure that the team co-ordinates well with the broader business in the FS sector, supporting its continuing profitable growth. Working with the relevant Partner you will be supporting the growth of the department through business development, marketing initiatives and leveraging key relationships to maximise fee income.

You will also be responsible for an envious portfolio of financial services clients, and take the lead role in ensuring that the risk based audit plans are met to the highest standard, through managing a pool of subject matter experts and controlling engagements costs. The ability to influence key stakeholders is essential as you will be contributing to the long-term planning of the function through input to strategic and operational business plans.

To be considered you will be recognised as a technical expert in internal audit methodologies and approaches and in risk management/ governance frameworks applicable to the financial services sector. Candidates from a practice or industry background will be considered, but you will be leading business development activities and a practice background may be advantageous in this instance. Proven experience of managing, coaching and developing people is essential as is the ability to influence executive management.
