The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been mandated by a London based, FTSE100 sized company to help find and select a new Head of Risk and Assurance.
This is a complex company going through a period of significant change and the job holder will be responsible for ensuring all Risk & Assurance work is delivered to the highest professional standards and ensuring the team is resourced with professionals with the skills to match the company’s risk profile.
Given the complexity of the business and pace and scale of change, your biggest challenge will be to work proactively across the organisation to further mature the risk and control environment. This will involve a significant focus on proactive communication and training, and the embedding and monitoring of controls within the 2nd line functions.
- Leading the Risk & Assurance department, comprising of four teams:
- Risk Management
- Business Integrity
- Regulatory Compliance, and
- Assurance
Responsible for a budget of circa £3 million, this is a highly visible role with significant Board and Executive exposure so we're looking for someone with high levels of personal credibility and gravitas to interact at Board and Executive level combined with highly developed skills in risk assessment, control framework design, and assurance strategy.
