Information Governance Manager

The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been engaged by a leading UK children’s charity based in Surrey to recruit an Information Governance Manager. They are the leading charity in helping children with brain injuries, and this is an opportunity to make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of children and their families.

Your chief responsibilities will be the development and ongoing maintenance of the Information Governance Framework, strategy and policies and procedures; leading information governance projects; designing and delivering suitable training programmes and compliance monitoring. 

As the successful candidate you will be reporting into a supportive Head of Audit, Risk and Governance. One of your primary responsibilities will be to lead a major information lifecycle management initiative, delivering policies and new ways of working to reflect GDPR regulations.

Ideally you will have up to date knowledge of GDPR and hold a recognisable information security qualification CISA/CISSP qualification although this is not essential. Experience of working in a similar information governance role in another organisation, including providing support and data assurance on IT systems projects is essential. You will also have sound understanding of at least one of the information and cyber security standards; ISO27001; Cyber Essentials / 10 Steps to Cyber Security.
