The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been asked by a FTSE 250 Construction business based in central London to help recruit an Internal Audit – Assistant Manager.

The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in this newly-formed internal audit function, working closely with the Senior Internal Audit Manager and Head of Internal Audit & Risk.

This role represents a brilliant opportunity to be part of an emerging internal audit function, working alongside and developing under the close attention of 2 highly experienced and impressive audit and risk practitioners. The business itself is performing very well and despite economic uncertainty has continued to thrive in its market, which is a lot more robust than most at present.

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering financial and operational reviews to identify key risks and ensure that they are effectively managed. This is an exciting opportunity that will give you the chance to add real value to the business and help develop the function into a commercial and pragmatic team that provides independent assurance and assists the business in developing risk management.

Travel

The role is based in Central London and the business has many regional sites throughout the UK. Travel to these sites is required regularly, many will be day trips but some are overnight stays. It is estimated that travel will be 20-30% as a guide, domestic only.

Preferred skills/certification

  • ACA/ACCA with a strong Internal Auudit background – ideally FTSE-listed multi-sire organisations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact at all levels
  • Good technical skills
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Commercial and pragmatic approach
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage some assignments
  • Willingness to commit to up to 30% UK
