The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been engaged by a leading mid-market accountancy firm to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join their private sector team. This is a fast-paced role, and will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to move away from a Big 4 environment or who may be looking to make that jump to manager and take more responsibility and play a major role in the continued growth of the department.

This role will see you working across a wide range of sectors including FTSE 250/350, AIM listed and Multi-National foreign listed businesses. You will be responsible for managing a team of internal audit seniors to deliver successful risk based internal audit assignments. This is a hands-on role, and is an opportunity to be part of a growing team where you will be at the forefront of determining audit strategies and risk assessments and assisting with the department’s overall business development strategies.

The team itself has grown rapidly over the past 18 months and shows no plans of slowing down. They continue to win new business both in the UK and abroad, and this role will give you the chance to travel internationally. The vast majority of your international travel will occur between Monday and Friday.

To be considered you are likely to be ACA/ACCA/IIA qualified and have experience conducting risk based internal audits within the private sector – this experience can be gained from a professional practice or an in-house internal audit team. Experience managing engagements is essential, as you will be managing clients and a team of senior auditors and consultants. You will also be willing to travel for up to 30% of the time. Due to the travel commitments, you must have a British or EU passport.
