The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) has been engaged to recruit self motivated and driven Internal Audit Manager's for a Peterborough based clients of ours. This is an exciting opportunity for a 1st or 2nd time mover to gain a better understand of how a large organisation operates, prior to having the opportunity to move with the business and develop your skillset.
The Role
This role offers a varied workload, as a manager you will be involved in reviewing and establishing internal audit functions, assurance mapping, creating annual audit plans and managing and directing internal projects which include planning, reviewing, reporting and quality assurance.
The Responsibilities
Retaining management responsibility and maintaining strong relationships with both senior internal and client staff and being responsible for the financial performance and delivery of these accounts. You will be developing audit strategies which address all audit, client service and project management issues. Producing quarterly Audit Committee papers, assisting the partner in general business development and any other ad-hoc duties.
About You
You will hold a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIA), and have experience working within an internal or external audit function. We will look at candidates from either a public or private sector background and also consider candidates coming directly from practice. To succeed in this autonomous role, you will need to be driven, resilient and highly self-motivated as you will not be micromanaged. An assertive personality coupled with good communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is possessing strong stakeholder management.
