Financial Services – Internal Audit Manager 

The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) has been engaged to recruit for this superb opportunity that has arisen for an Internal Audit Manager with the existing Internal Audit Team. You will be challenged with providing independent assurance over the adequacy and effectiveness of control processes throughout the business and its outsourced partners.

This is a highly acquisitional, well established company which distributes a range of Investment and Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base. You would be based in the Corporate Head Office and work as part of a team that covers all the UK Regional offices and third-party providers.

The Role

Reporting to the Audit Manager (UK Lead), you will help develop the annual audit plan and conduct regular risk focused audits within both the group and key stakeholders.

You will deliver risk-based Audits within budget and timescale, working within the group and external professional standards, tracking and following up agreed post audit actions. There will be some additional project work, as required.

You will engage colleagues within the business and with external Stakeholders to ensure excellent communications flows. 

The Person

  • You will have a recognised Accountancy qualification. You will have a solid understanding of IIA Standards gained through experience, in a Financial Services related environment.
  • You will not only be recognised for your attention to detail but for also having a flexible approach and the ability to communicate reports and solutions in a timely way – across all levels of the business.
  • You will have a good understanding of how you can add value to the business and will have previously worked well with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • You will be a confident professional with the ability to use common sense, influence and communicate to a number of different audiences.
  • You will be looking for a role which involves a degree of UK travel, perhaps up to 20% of the time.
