The Internal Audit & Risk Recruitment Company are working with a major transport & logistics company on an operational risk-based Internal Auditor role.
This role can be based in London or Milton Keynes. They are seeking an experienced professional to join the Internal Audit team and assist in the development and optimisation of governance, risk management and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, want to be intellectually-stimulated, and be driven to continuously improve and expand their knowledge and skills.
You will be able to utilise your knowledge of leading practice processes and emerging risks to develop and deliver an annual plan of audits and reviews with the support of the Internal Audit Manager. The Lead Internal Auditor will provide practical risk management, internal controls and process improvement solutions whilst gaining valuable experience and exposure working with a variety of senior stakeholders, with opportunities to grow your career in other parts of the business.
You would be working on large scale projects, change management and programme Audits. The travel is very minimal (15% or less) and you will be working in an Internal Audit team of 10 and a wider governance team of 25.
Candidates should have genuine Operational Internal Audit experience. Ideally, candidates should also have some project management/Change Management experience. A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/IIA) would be a benefit but is not essential.
