The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are working with a not-for-profit organisation within the Medical and Healthcare sector. Our client is not an insurance business but offers an insurance product for the specific use of Medical professionals. As such, they are regulated by the FCA and must adhere to Lloyds minimum standards. They are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join the team, reporting jointly to the Head of Risk Assurance and the Insurance Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Regulatory Compliance experience within the Insurance sector to further their career in a Manager level role with exposure to Exec level.
Key responsibilities will include monitoring and reviewing regulatory risks and proactively testing compliance. Specific areas will include conduct risk reviews, product documentation and Lloyds Minimum Standards. You will also develop and review the FCA Compliance monitoring plan based on key areas of regulatory risk. Another key area will be to provide advice and guidance to the business from a regulatory perspective on all sales of insurance products and setting up as an insurer. You will help to develop company compliance such as conduct risk, whistleblowing policy, fraud, and financial crime, and train the business on these issues.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Regulatory Compliance with good working knowledge of relevant regulations, including FCA, PRA and Lloyds. You must have worked within an Insurance environment and have a good understanding of compliance issues surrounding the sale of insurance retail products. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
