The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company is recruiting a Risk Advisor for a globally recognised, UK media and entertainments organisation.  This is newly created role offering a huge amount of exposure as the position will be providing risk management across all its major divisions.

Reporting into the Head of Risk Management, you will undertake a variety of risk management activities including delivery of risk reporting to senior management; delivery of effective risk identification, mitigation & reduction across business areas; support in the implementation, embedding & operation of risk management practices (e.g., the risk framework) across the business; and monitoring the performance of risk management.  You will also use your expertise on an ad hoc basis in other areas such as business continuity and crisis management.

In addition to the broad exposure and chance to develop as a risk management specialist, you can expect to enjoy a strong work-life balance and experience a friendly, laid-back, and supportive work culture (e.g., they operate wellbeing programmes for all staff).  Longer-term, there are numerous routes for progression.

In terms of background, risk management or risk advisory experience would be ideal, however, if you are an internal auditor experienced in risk-based auditing and hungry to apply that knowledge and experience in a full risk management role, then this will work too.  Either way, excellent communications skills, and the ability to challenge, business partner and advise will be key.  A minimum of 3, but ideally 5 years of experience is sought.

Working arrangements – 2 days in the Birmingham office per week and the remainder work from home.
