The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are working with a FTSE 100 business to help them source a Director of Risk. This role reports into the Head of Risk and has a dotted line to the Board level. You will be responsible for a service line in this company, helping them identify, manage and mitigate Risks.
Day to day responsibilities will include the promotion of risk management across the line of business. Building relationships with senior stakeholders will be a key part of this. You will report into the Audit and Risk committee and the Leadership team to advise on the effectiveness of risk management as a function. You will support the business in the management of risks in areas such as investments, planning, projects, implementation of initiatives and strategic decision making. You will also manage a small team of Risk professionals.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified and have a background in Enterprise Risk or Internal Audit. You will have experience gained from a FTSE 100 or equivalent sized corporate, or a Big 4 consultancy. You should have a qualification in Risk (for example the IRM Diploma). You will have the ability to influence at all levels, including C-level. You should have a track record of success and delivering risk management programmes in large scale organisations. Experience of working in an environment where technology is critical will be preferred.
