The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have recently been engaged by one of the leading mid-tier accountancy firms to recruit a Senior Manager to join their risk advisory and internal audit team. Reporting to partner level, the successful candidate will have ownership of an enviable portfolio of financial services clients.
This role will allow you the opportunity to work on a variety of internal audit engagements across their spectrum of services. You will be developing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives and supporting partners/directors to lead a variety of internal audit engagements. You will need to possess strong stakeholder management skills as you will have direct contact with C-level stakeholders and you must be comfortable having challenging conversations at this level.
In this varied role you shall be creating audit plans, reviewing and establishing audit functions and assessing external internal audit functions. You shall be expected to manage, mentor and support your growing team. You will also be monitoring client engagement budgets and profitability, including identifying any additional revenue opportunities. Networking and business development is an essential part of the role, and you will be supporting the Partner in attending business development meetings with target clients and attending heads of audit forums and managing your sales pipeline.
Ideally you shall be ACA/ACCA/CIA qualified but this is not a necessity. You should have a deep knowledge of the financial services arena and grasp its nuances. This role is open for candidates coming from either a professional services background or from industry. You should have experience in dealing with senior stake holders and possess strong communication skills.
