The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) has been mandated by one of the largest housing providers in the UK to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor for their highly valued internal audit function.

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal audit, you will be in a team of four in the internal audit department. Due to the size of the team, this role will offer extensive exposure to senior stakeholders and the ability to work on a wide variety of audits.

As the senior internal Auditor you would be responsible for performing a full range of internal audit projects and ad hoc assignments, with minimal supervision, as part of the total internal audit plan. You would be responsible for producing well written, well-structured internal audit reports and championing risk management, internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business.

For this role, it is essential that you have the CIA qualification (or equivalent). My client is looking for a candidate that is always looking to develop and is committed to learning, because of this, they will support you in progressing towards a full professional membership of an internal audit or accountancy body (CMIIA or CCAB).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of internal audit expirience, preferably in-house and with some experience in the housing sector. A strong knowledge and understanding of modern internal audit techniques and analytical techniques to review financial, performance and technical business data and control processes along with a good understanding of risk management and corporate governance frameworks is also essential for this role.
